Message from the president

Adetunji Akintonde
On behalf of the Executive Council of the Nigerian Community Association of Greater Sudbury (NCAGS), I extend my heartfelt congratulations to every member of our great association. Your unwavering commitment, steadfast support, and enduring belief in our shared vision have been the driving force behind our continued growth and stability. Our mission remains clear, to build a supportive community where every Nigerian finds belonging, strength, and the opportunity to thrive in our new home. Through integration, collaboration, and collective resilience, we continue to chart a path that uplifts each member while contributing meaningfully to the broader Sudbury community. Building upon the solid foundation laid by our past leaders, the 3rd Executive Council has worked diligently to strengthen our organizational structure and embrace technology as a tool to simplify processes, improve communication, and enhance transparency. These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and good governance. This year, we have also been able to deliver a sound financial report up to the third quarter of 2025. This milestone demonstrates our strong commitment to accountability, stewardship, and transparency in managing the resources entrusted to us. We have taken deliberate steps to standardize financial documentation, strengthen internal controls, and ensure that every expenditure aligns with our community’s priorities and constitutional obligations. Our goal is to fortify a system that guarantees integrity and builds trust, one that future administrations can confidently build upon.
